Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists has offered general practice veterinarians the option of referral for patients with challenging surgical needs since 1995. Our surgeons each underwent four years of additional training after four years of veterinary school to focus on surgery for dogs and cats. They have all passed the Board Examination of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, giving us the largest group of boarded small animal surgeons in Kentucky. In addition to their training and experience, they offer the latest in surgical instrumentation and imaging, including myelography and computed tomography (CT or CAT scan).
