Many neurologic diseases, such as epilepsy, head trauma, congenital disorders (e.g. hydrocephalus), encephalitis (infectious and autoimmune), inner ear disorders, strokes and brain tumors, can be well managed providing a good quality of life for your pet.
Dr. Ruehlmann will review the medical records, laboratory test results, and radiographs supplied by your family veterinarian prior to performing a thorough physical and neurologic examination. Following assessment, she will provide a detailed plan for diagnostics, treatment and management. Common neurologic tests include advanced neuroimaging (CT and MRI scan), cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis, electrodiagnostic testing, and muscle and nerve biopsy.

Debbie Ruehlmann, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM (Neurology)
Dr. Ruehlmann is a 1994 graduate of the Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1995, and a residency in Neurology at the Ohio State University in 1999.
