Many neurologic diseases, such as epilepsy, head trauma, congenital disorders (e.g. hydrocephalus), encephalitis (infectious and autoimmune), inner ear disorders, strokes and brain tumors, can be well managed providing a good quality of life for your pet.

Dr. Ruehlmann will review the medical records, laboratory test results, and radiographs supplied by your family veterinarian prior to performing a thorough physical and neurologic examination. Following assessment, she will provide a detailed plan for diagnostics, treatment and management. Common neurologic tests include  advanced neuroimaging (CT and MRI scan), cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis, electrodiagnostic testing, and muscle and nerve biopsy.
